MULTI-DAY RIDES
Many itineraries are available to you, but this following example is one of our all time favourites.
Noto Peninusula:
This ride can be done in as few as 3 big days or as many as you like, here is a 7 day trip that we just completed. This tour is vehicle supported. We can arrange for pick up and drop off at magor airports or cities. This trips cost is 380,000 yen per person and includes breakfast, dinner, light lunches.
Day 1: Kanazawa City
Meet in Kanazawa City, spend the afternoon walk/ride around city checking out world famous Kenroku Gardens, drinking tea in an old Samurai house in Naka Machi and getting our bikes sorted out.
Day 2: 70 kilometers - Kanazawa to Togi
Short transfer by van to shoreline bikepath, flat ride along the coast, even ride along the beach. Lunch at a beachside park before a short stop at Keta Taisha Shrine(2000 year old). From here we proceed along the coast for the last 20 kilometers of the day, a bit up down as we start to get into the Noto Peninsula, stop to check out Ganmon Caves before dropping down to Togi Town. Spend some time checking out the wonderful Hot Spring Facility at your Hotel tonight.
Day 3: 60 kilometers - Togi to Wajima
Spend today riding the Sekinohana coast, hike 5 kilometers along the coast to Minazuki where you will lunch beside some beautiful waterfalls before continuing along towards Wajima, stopping occasionally to look at some splendid rock formations. Tonight we stay at a Japanese Hot Spring Ryokan overlooking the fishing port of Wajima.
Day 4: 80 kilometers - Wajima to Noto
A quick visit to the Fish Market before we start the longest day of trip. Today we will see the terraced rice fields of Senmaida, and for those interested a quick stop at the Old Tokukuni house to look into an old fuedal lords house. Today we ride around the tip of Noto, pass Mitsuke (battleship) island before riding into the Tsukumo Bay area. Here we stay for 2 nights at a fantastic location with Hot Springs inside caves and beautiful views from rooms. After 2 nights of seafood dinning tonight we will feast on Japanesse Beef .
Day 5: Variable - Noto to Noto
Today can be used as a rest/easy day exploring the Tsukumo bay area , hike around the marine center, cycle up to Yanigada Botnical Gardens or just spend the day fishing and relaxing in the hot springs before a short boat cruise and a superb Seafood feast.
Day 6: 70 Kilometers - Noto/Wakura Via Noto Island
A little climbing into the interior of Noto before we drop down and cross to Noto Island were we spend the day riding around the island and finally arriving at one of Japans more famous Hot Spring Towns, Wakura Onsen.
Day 7: Variable - Shirakawa-go World Heritage Site
A 2 hour transfer by car to Shirkawa-go, here we explore the classic Gassho Zukuri style of building around the village of Shirakawa. Hike or ride up into the surrounding mountains before ending the day with a Hot Spring and a night in one of these classic buildings eating the food that the mountains provide.
